What does convergence mean?

Relevant classes: any Convergence Convergence is one of the most important properties of cfengine. Put simply if means that cfengine always brings your system closer to the configuration you have defined. It never makes it worse. In other words, the system converges from any state towards an ideal state. All system administration tools should have this property, but most do not. Back to documentation
